Surah Al-Mursalat (the emissaries, winds sent forth)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Total Verses : 50 - Listen to Recitation of this Surah with Translation

Ayah: 1
Arabic:	وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا
Yusuf Ali:	By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit);

Ayah: 2
Arabic:	فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا
Yusuf Ali:	Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts,

Ayah: 3
Arabic:	وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا
Yusuf Ali:	And scatter (things) far and wide;

Ayah: 4
Arabic:	فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا
Yusuf Ali:	Then separate them, one from another,

Ayah: 5
Arabic:	فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
Yusuf Ali:	Then spread abroad a Message,

Ayah: 6
Arabic:	عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
Yusuf Ali:	Whether of Justification or of Warning;-

Ayah: 7
Arabic:	إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ
Yusuf Ali:	Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass.

Ayah: 8
Arabic:	فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
Yusuf Ali:	Then when the stars become dim;

Ayah: 9
Arabic:	وَإِذَا السَّمَاء فُرِجَتْ
Yusuf Ali:	When the heaven is cleft asunder;

Ayah: 10
Arabic:	وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
Yusuf Ali:	When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust;

Ayah: 11
Arabic:	وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
Yusuf Ali:	And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);-

Ayah: 12
Arabic:	لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
Yusuf Ali:	For what Day are these (portents) deferred?

Ayah: 13
Arabic:	لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ
Yusuf Ali:	For the Day of Sorting out.

Ayah: 14
Arabic:	وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ
Yusuf Ali:	And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out?

Ayah: 15
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 16
Arabic:	أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)?

Ayah: 17
Arabic:	ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	So shall We make later (generations) follow them.

Ayah: 18
Arabic:	كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Thus do We deal with men of sin.

Ayah: 19
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 20
Arabic:	أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاء مَّهِينٍ
Yusuf Ali:	Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?-

Ayah: 21
Arabic:	فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
Yusuf Ali:	The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed,

Ayah: 22
Arabic:	إِلَى قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
Yusuf Ali:	For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)?

Ayah: 23
Arabic:	فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ
Yusuf Ali:	For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things).

Ayah: 24
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 25
Arabic:	أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
Yusuf Ali:	Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together.

Ayah: 26
Arabic:	أَحْيَاء وَأَمْوَاتًا
Yusuf Ali:	The living and the dead,

Ayah: 27
Arabic:	وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُم مَّاء فُرَاتًا
Yusuf Ali:	And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)?

Ayah: 28
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 29
Arabic:	انطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Yusuf Ali:	(It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false!

Ayah: 30
Arabic:	انطَلِقُوا إِلَى ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ
Yusuf Ali:	"Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns,

Ayah: 31
Arabic:	لَا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ
Yusuf Ali:	"(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze.

Ayah: 32
Arabic:	إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ
Yusuf Ali:	"Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts,

Ayah: 33
Arabic:	كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ
Yusuf Ali:	"As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)."

Ayah: 34
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 35
Arabic:	هَذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
Yusuf Ali:	That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak.

Ayah: 36
Arabic:	وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
Yusuf Ali:	Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas.

Ayah: 37
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 38
Arabic:	هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)!

Ayah: 39
Arabic:	فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
Yusuf Ali:	Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me!

Ayah: 40
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 41
Arabic:	إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Yusuf Ali:	As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water).

Ayah: 42
Arabic:	وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
Yusuf Ali:	And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire.

Ayah: 43
Arabic:	كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Yusuf Ali:	"Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness).

Ayah: 44
Arabic:	إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good.

Ayah: 45
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 46
Arabic:	كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
Yusuf Ali:	(O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners.

Ayah: 47
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 48
Arabic:	وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
Yusuf Ali:	And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so.

Ayah: 49
Arabic:	وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Yusuf Ali:	Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

Ayah: 50
Arabic:	فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Yusuf Ali:	Then what Message, after that, will they believe in?
