In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

| Ayah: 1 |
|
| Arabic: |
إِنَّا
أَرْسَلْنَا
نُوحًا
إِلَى
قَوْمِهِ
أَنْ
أَنذِرْ
قَوْمَكَ
مِن قَبْلِ
أَن
يَأْتِيَهُمْ
عَذَابٌ
أَلِيمٌ
|
| Shakir: |
Surely We sent Nuh to his people, saying: Warn your people before there come upon them a painful chastisement. |
| Ayah: 2 |
|
| Arabic: |
قَالَ
يَا قَوْمِ
إِنِّي
لَكُمْ
نَذِيرٌ
مُّبِينٌ
|
| Shakir: |
He said: O my people! Surely I am a plain warner to you: |
| Ayah: 3 |
|
| Arabic: |
أَنِ
اعْبُدُوا
اللَّهَ
وَاتَّقُوهُ
وَأَطِيعُونِ
|
| Shakir: |
That you should serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him and obey me: |
| Ayah: 4 |
|
| Arabic: |
يَغْفِرْ
لَكُم مِّن
ذُنُوبِكُمْ
وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ
إِلَى
أَجَلٍ
مُّسَمًّى
إِنَّ
أَجَلَ
اللَّهِ
إِذَا جَاء
لَا
يُؤَخَّرُ
لَوْ
كُنتُمْ
تَعْلَمُونَ
|
| Shakir: |
He will forgive you some of your faults and grant you a delay to an appointed term; surely the term of Allah when it comes is not postponed; did you but know! |
| Ayah: 5 |

| Arabic: |
قَالَ
رَبِّ
إِنِّي
دَعَوْتُ
قَوْمِي
لَيْلًا
وَنَهَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
He said: O my Lord! surely I have called my people by night and by day! |
| Ayah: 6 |
|
| Arabic: |
فَلَمْ
يَزِدْهُمْ
دُعَائِي
إِلَّا
فِرَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
But my call has only made them flee the more: |
| Ayah: 7 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَإِنِّي
كُلَّمَا
دَعَوْتُهُمْ
لِتَغْفِرَ
لَهُمْ
جَعَلُوا
أَصَابِعَهُمْ
فِي
آذَانِهِمْ
وَاسْتَغْشَوْا
ثِيَابَهُمْ
وَأَصَرُّوا
وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا
اسْتِكْبَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
And whenever I have called them that Thou mayest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, cover themselves with their garments, and persist and are puffed up with pride: |
| Ayah: 8 |

| Arabic: |
ثُمَّ
إِنِّي
دَعَوْتُهُمْ
جِهَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
Then surely I called to them aloud: |
| Ayah: 9 |
|
| Arabic: |
ثُمَّ
إِنِّي
أَعْلَنتُ
لَهُمْ
وَأَسْرَرْتُ
لَهُمْ
إِسْرَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
Then surely I spoke to them in public and I spoke to them in secret: |
| Ayah: 10 |
|
| Arabic: |
فَقُلْتُ
اسْتَغْفِرُوا
رَبَّكُمْ
إِنَّهُ
كَانَ
غَفَّارًا
|
| Shakir: |
Then I said, Ask forgiveness of your Lord, surely He is the most Forgiving: |
| Ayah: 11 |
|
| Arabic: |
يُرْسِلِ
السَّمَاء
عَلَيْكُم
مِّدْرَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
He will send down upon you the cloud, pouring down abundance of rain: |
| Ayah: 12 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ
بِأَمْوَالٍ
وَبَنِينَ
وَيَجْعَل
لَّكُمْ
جَنَّاتٍ
وَيَجْعَل
لَّكُمْ
أَنْهَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
And help you with wealth and sons, and make for you gardens, and make for you rivers. |
| Ayah: 13 |
|
| Arabic: |
مَّا
لَكُمْ لَا
تَرْجُونَ
لِلَّهِ
وَقَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
What is the matter with you that you fear not the greatness of Allah? |
| Ayah: 14 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَقَدْ
خَلَقَكُمْ
أَطْوَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
And indeed He has created you through various grades: |
| Ayah: 15 |
|
| Arabic: |
أَلَمْ
تَرَوْا
كَيْفَ
خَلَقَ
اللَّهُ
سَبْعَ
سَمَاوَاتٍ
طِبَاقًا
|
| Shakir: |
Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens ,~ one above another, |
| Ayah: 16 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَجَعَلَ
الْقَمَرَ
فِيهِنَّ
نُورًا
وَجَعَلَ
الشَّمْسَ
سِرَاجًا
|
| Shakir: |
And made the moon therein a light, and made the sun a lamp? |
| Ayah: 17 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَاللَّهُ
أَنبَتَكُم
مِّنَ
الْأَرْضِ
نَبَاتًا
|
| Shakir: |
And Allah has made you grow out of the earth as a growth: |
| Ayah: 18 |
|
| Arabic: |
ثُمَّ
يُعِيدُكُمْ
فِيهَا
وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ
إِخْرَاجًا
|
| Shakir: |
Then He returns you to it, then will He bring you forth a (new) bringing forth: |
| Ayah: 19 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَاللَّهُ
جَعَلَ
لَكُمُ
الْأَرْضَ
بِسَاطًا
|
| Shakir: |
And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse, |
| Ayah: 20 |
|
| Arabic: |
لِتَسْلُكُوا
مِنْهَا
سُبُلًا
فِجَاجًا
|
| Shakir: |
That you may go along therein in wide paths. |
| Ayah: 21 |
|
| Arabic: |
قَالَ
نُوحٌ
رَّبِّ
إِنَّهُمْ
عَصَوْنِي
وَاتَّبَعُوا
مَن لَّمْ
يَزِدْهُ
مَالُهُ
وَوَلَدُهُ
إِلَّا
خَسَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
Nuh said: My Lord! surely they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children have added to him nothing but loss. |
| Ayah: 22 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَمَكَرُوا
مَكْرًا
كُبَّارًا
|
| Shakir: |
And they have planned a very great plan. |
| Ayah: 23 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَقَالُوا
لَا
تَذَرُنَّ
آلِهَتَكُمْ
وَلَا
تَذَرُنَّ
وَدًّا
وَلَا
سُوَاعًا
وَلَا
يَغُوثَ
وَيَعُوقَ
وَنَسْرًا
|
| Shakir: |
And they say: By no means leave your gods, nor leave Wadd, nor Suwa; nor Yaghus, and Yauq and Nasr. |
| Ayah: 24 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَقَدْ
أَضَلُّوا
كَثِيرًا
وَلَا
تَزِدِ
الظَّالِمِينَ
إِلَّا
ضَلَالًا
|
| Shakir: |
And indeed they have led astray many, and do not increase the unjust in aught but error. |
| Ayah: 25 |
|
| Arabic: |
مِمَّا
خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ
أُغْرِقُوا
فَأُدْخِلُوا
نَارًا
فَلَمْ
يَجِدُوا
لَهُم مِّن
دُونِ
اللَّهِ
أَنصَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
Because of their wrongs they were drowned, then made to enter fire, so they did not find any helpers besides Allah. |
| Ayah: 26 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَقَالَ
نُوحٌ
رَّبِّ لَا
تَذَرْ
عَلَى
الْأَرْضِ
مِنَ
الْكَافِرِينَ
دَيَّارًا
|
| Shakir: |
And Nuh said: My Lord! leave not upon the land any dweller from among the unbelievers: |
| Ayah: 27 |
|
| Arabic: |
إِنَّكَ
إِن
تَذَرْهُمْ
يُضِلُّوا
عِبَادَكَ
وَلَا
يَلِدُوا
إِلَّا
فَاجِرًا
كَفَّارًا
|
| Shakir: |
For surely if Thou leave them they will lead astray Thy servants, and will not beget any but immoral, ungrateful (children) |
| Ayah: 28 |
|
| Arabic: |
رَبِّ
اغْفِرْ
لِي
وَلِوَالِدَيَّ
وَلِمَن
دَخَلَ
بَيْتِيَ
مُؤْمِنًا
وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
وَلَا
تَزِدِ
الظَّالِمِينَ
إِلَّا
تَبَارًا
|
| Shakir: |
My Lord! forgive me and my parents and him who enters my house believing, and the believing men and the believing women; and do not increase the unjust in aught but destruction! |
