In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

| Arabic: |
وَالشَّمْسِ
وَضُحَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
By the sun and his brightness, |
| Ayah: 2 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَالْقَمَرِ
إِذَا
تَلَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
And the moon when she followeth him, |
| Ayah: 3 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَالنَّهَارِ
إِذَا
جَلَّاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
And the day when it revealeth him, |
| Ayah: 4 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَاللَّيْلِ
إِذَا
يَغْشَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
And the night when it enshroudeth him, |
| Ayah: 5 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَالسَّمَاء
وَمَا
بَنَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
And the heaven and Him Who built it, |
| Ayah: 6 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَالْأَرْضِ
وَمَا
طَحَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
And the earth and Him Who spread it, |
| Ayah: 7 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَنَفْسٍ
وَمَا
سَوَّاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
And a soul and Him Who perfected it |
| Ayah: 8 |
|
| Arabic: |
فَأَلْهَمَهَا
فُجُورَهَا
وَتَقْوَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
And inspired it (with conscience of) what is wrong for it and (what is) right for it. |
| Ayah: 9 |
|
| Arabic: |
قَدْ
أَفْلَحَ
مَن
زَكَّاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
He is indeed successful who causeth it to grow, |
| Ayah: 10 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَقَدْ
خَابَ مَن
دَسَّاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it. |
| Ayah: 11 |
|
| Arabic: |
كَذَّبَتْ
ثَمُودُ
بِطَغْوَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
(The tribe of) Thamud denied (the truth) in their rebellious pride, |
| Ayah: 12 |
|
| Arabic: |
إِذِ
انبَعَثَ
أَشْقَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
When the basest of them broke forth |
| Ayah: 13 |
|
| Arabic: |
فَقَالَ
لَهُمْ
رَسُولُ
اللَّهِ
نَاقَةَ
اللَّهِ
وَسُقْيَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
And the messenger of Allah said: It is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink! |
| Ayah: 14 |
|
| Arabic: |
فَكَذَّبُوهُ
فَعَقَرُوهَا
فَدَمْدَمَ
عَلَيْهِمْ
رَبُّهُم
بِذَنبِهِمْ
فَسَوَّاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings). |
| Ayah: 15 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَلَا
يَخَافُ
عُقْبَاهَا
|
| Pickthal: |
He dreadeth not the sequel (of events). |
