In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Ayah: 1 |

Arabic: |
لَمْ
يَكُنِ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
مِنْ
أَهْلِ
الْكِتَابِ
وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ
مُنفَكِّينَ
حَتَّى
تَأْتِيَهُمُ
الْبَيِّنَةُ
|
Pickthal: |
Those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters could not have left off (erring) till the clear proof came untothem, |
Shakir: |
Those who disbelieved from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists could not have separated (from the faithful) until there had come to them the clear evidence: |
Yusuf Ali: |
Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, were not going to depart (from their ways) untilthere should come to them Clear Evidence,- |
Ayah: 2 |

رَسُولٌ
مِّنَ
اللَّهِ
يَتْلُو
صُحُفًا
مُّطَهَّرَةً

Pickthal: |
A messenger from Allah, reading purified pages |
Shakir: |
An messenger from Allah, reciting pure pages, |
Yusuf Ali: |
An messenger from Allah, rehearsing scriptures kept pure and holy: |
Ayah: 3 |

Arabic: |
فِيهَا
كُتُبٌ
قَيِّمَةٌ
|
Pickthal: |
Containing correct scriptures. |
Shakir: |
Wherein are all the right ordinances. |
Yusuf Ali: |
Wherein are laws (or decrees) right and straight. |
Ayah: 4 |

Arabic: |
وَمَا
تَفَرَّقَ
الَّذِينَ
أُوتُوا
الْكِتَابَ
إِلَّا مِن
بَعْدِ مَا
جَاءتْهُمُ
الْبَيِّنَةُ
|
Pickthal: |
Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them. |
Shakir: |
And those who were given the Book did not become divided except after clear evidence had come to them. |
Yusuf Ali: |
Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence. |
Ayah: 5 |

Arabic: |
وَمَا
أُمِرُوا
إِلَّا
لِيَعْبُدُوا
اللَّهَ
مُخْلِصِينَ
لَهُ
الدِّينَ
حُنَفَاء
وَيُقِيمُوا
الصَّلَاةَ
وَيُؤْتُوا
الزَّكَاةَ
وَذَلِكَ
دِينُ
الْقَيِّمَةِ
|
Pickthal: |
And they are ordered naught else than to serve Allah, keeping religion pure for Him, as men by nature upright, and to establish worshipand to pay the poor-due. That is true religion. |
Shakir: |
And they were not enjoined anything except that they should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, upright, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and that is the right religion. |
Yusuf Ali: |
And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establishregular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the ReligionRight and Straight. |
Ayah: 6 |

إِنَّ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
مِنْ
أَهْلِ
الْكِتَابِ
وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ
فِي نَارِ
جَهَنَّمَ
خَالِدِينَ
فِيهَا
أُوْلَئِكَ
هُمْ شَرُّ
الْبَرِيَّةِ
|
Pickthal: |
Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst ofcreated beings. |
Shakir: |
Surely those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists shall be in the fire of hell, abiding therein; they are the worst of men. |
Yusuf Ali: |
Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye).They are the worst of creatures. |
Ayah: 7 |

إِنَّ
الَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا
وَعَمِلُوا
الصَّالِحَاتِ
أُوْلَئِكَ
هُمْ
خَيْرُ
الْبَرِيَّةِ
|
Pickthal: |
(And) lo! those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings. |
Shakir: |
(As for) those who believe and do good, surely they are the -best of men. |
Yusuf Ali: |
Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures. |
Ayah: 8 |

Arabic: |
جَزَاؤُهُمْ
عِندَ
رَبِّهِمْ
جَنَّاتُ
عَدْنٍ
تَجْرِي
مِن
تَحْتِهَا
الْأَنْهَارُ
خَالِدِينَ
فِيهَا
أَبَدًا
رَّضِيَ
اللَّهُ
عَنْهُمْ
وَرَضُوا
عَنْهُ
ذَلِكَ
لِمَنْ
خَشِيَ
رَبَّهُ
|
Pickthal: |
Their reward is with their Lord: Gardens of Eden underneath which rivers flow, wherein they dwell for ever. Allah hath pleasure in themand they have pleasure in Him. This is (in store) for him who feareth hisLord. |
Shakir: |
Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein for ever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord. |
Yusuf Ali: |
Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them,and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher. |
